Terry, you get to spend 8 days gazing at the beauty of Alex Ovechkin. You're a very lucky lady. Something tells me you'll need another vacation afterward to recover from the experience ahahaha! Have fun and keep us up to date on your visit. When do you arrive in the Land of O? I'll be watching the news for reports of a woman from Texas who causes havoc when she tries to accost Alex Ovechkin after practice! :)

I'm really glad that I don't have to wave good-bye to any of my boys on either of my teams. This trade day was not the hell that I expected. Thank you Shero and GMGM.
Terry, the NHL trade deadline has come and gone, and all the pre hype ballyhoo proved to be Much Ado About Nothing. The Caps are standing pat, and there wasn't much action going onanywhere today. Nicky was placed on LTIR, which sort of suggests he won't be skating, much less playing, anytime soon. What are the Caps chances for the playoffs? They couldn't win with Nicky and lacking a 2C, so how will they fare with no 1C if Nicky is done for the season? I don't know what to expect now.
hi, I think the Caps will still make the playoffs. I think how deep into the playoffs will depend on if Nick comes back or not. I think we can pull it off in the next few weeks, but I’m not sure about the first round. It really depends on who we end up playing against. I think if we play against the Rangers or Penguins or Flyers, we might have a chance. The Caps play very differently against these really good teams. But if we play someone like Ottawa or Florida, it’s anyone’s guess. The Caps tend to show up against what I consider ‘upper echelon’ teams. They don’t seem to know what they’re doing against ones that aren’t quite as good.
